Application must be completed in full.*****Position Summary:**Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) professional that is responsible for the day-to-day operations and compliance of FTZ 84, which also includes the oversight, administration and marketing of the U.S. Foreign Trade Zones program. Responsible for developing, retaining and expanding relationships with both internal and external customers, while maintaining compliance with the FTZ Board’s regulations and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requirements. Calls on existing or prospective customers to support awareness, engagement, and the growth of the FTZ program. Supports several on-going FTZ projects and initiatives simultaneously. Compiles, analyzes, and organizes FTZ paperwork such as applications, agreements, activations, forms, annual reports and makes recommendations or suggestions as appropriate.**Key Responsibilities/Duties:*** Responsible for the day-to-day oversight, administration and compliance of FTZ 84, which includes the oversight of federal zone documents including but not limited to: applications, agreements, activations, annual reports, etc.* Receive and respond to inquiries from prospective Zone Operators/Users • Verify FTZ 84 related documentation and maintain proper recordkeeping required to ensure accuracy and compliance.* Routinely conduct process improvement audits and make recommendations on improvements.* Manage and maintain strong relationships with local FTZ Customs Officers (CBP), the U.S. FTZ Board and various local taxing jurisdictions.* Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with FTZ Zone Operators and Users.* Attract new FTZ 84 users using lead generation techniques and platforms (e.g. HubSpot/CRM, email marketing, cold calling, etc.)* Work closely with the accounting department on tasks related to FTZ annual billing and payments.* Routinely update and report to management concerning activities related to FTZ 84.* Assist with the ongoing maintenance of Economic Development/FTZ CRM database.* Support Economic Development Director as needed.* Assist Economic Development department with administrative tasks, including but not limited to budget, sponsorships and service agreements.* Assist Economic Development department with administrative tasks, including but not limited to budget, sponsorships and service agreements. • Attend and participate in FTZ related events as needed.* Work with the Marketing department on the coordination and planning of FTZ promotional activities and events, such as marketing communications, outreach conferences, workshops, seminars, etc.**Education/Experience:*** Bachelor’s degree from a public or accredited academic institution or demonstrated relevant experience.* 5 plus years of related FTZ administration, business development or supply chain experience required.* Performs work under general supervision, handles moderately complex issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.* Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Behaviors:*** Working knowledge of the FTZ program including compliance and best practices a plus.* Fast learner that can absorb the details of the Federal FTZ program quickly* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines and resolve issues. • Highly organized, driven and self-motivated individual with ability to think independently and creatively* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with strong skills in Excel and Word.**Key Competencies Required:*** Achieving Results* Focus Upon Quality* Contributes to Team Performance* CommunicationThis work site location of this job is:Port Houston Administration Building**Work Environment:**
