LHH is seeking a Collections & Skip Tracing Specialist to join their client’s dedicated recovery operations team.

This role plays a key part in resolving challenging delinquency issues while supporting repossession and asset recovery processes from start to finish. This is a contract role expected to last at least six months. It is an onsite role in Itasca, Illinois. What You’ll Do Take full ownership of assigned accounts from repossession referral through resolution, ensuring all actions align with internal policies and recovery goals. Conduct thorough skip‑tracing activities and collaborate with repossession partners to maximize successful recoveries. Prepare detailed, well-documented account files for the asset management team to support remarketing efforts. Generate status updates and reports for leadership as needed, providing clear insights on account progress. Coordinate closely with Collections, Asset Management, and Legal teams to leverage all available resources for account resolution. Manage invoices related to repossession activity, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing. Who You Are Experienced collections professional with strong multitasking, negotiation, and communication skills. Highly organized, detail-driven, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment. Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Brings 3+ years of collections experience (commercial experience preferred); credit background or a degree are beneficial but not required.
