We are looking for an Assistant Merchant to join our fast growing team in Los Angeles. This role is for someone who’s highly organized and quick to learn systems, eager to learn the ins and outs of merchandising within a vertical operation that manages a digital presence as well as two brick and mortar retail locations. We are a very small company with room for the candidate to carve out their own position since it is a newly created position to fit our team.

The assistant Merchant plays a key role in driving the end-to-end product lifecycle – from initial line planning and sample coordination to market prepartion and post-season analysis. A core part of this role is owning merchandising systems and tools, ensuring that all product attributes pricing and seasonal data are built accurately and updated in real time. You’ll partner closely with Design, Product Development, Production, Planning and Marketing to ensure the assortment reflects PHARAOH’s brand vision and meets business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Own PLM style creation and data entry, pricing updates and product information accuracy across JOOR, SHOPIFY and internal EXCEL documents.

Support the design team in building and maintaining seasonal line plans, line sheets and merchandising tools.

Support production in setting up trim sheets, tracking pre-production sample status, delivery timelines and product updates.

Coordinate samples for cross functional meetings, photoshoots and market appointments.

Manage Shopify / web data for all styles.

Create and merchandise all collections on Shopify.

Assist in homepage and navigation updates on web.

Photoshoot style assistance bi-monthly for ecommerce and quarterly campaign shoots.

Work cross-functionally with Design and Marketing teams to ensure creative and merchandising needs are met.

Light editing on Lightroom and uploading of assets to Shopify.

Qualifications:

Self Starter – the ability to set up systems for yourself to achieve multiple objectives through the day/week

Ability to multitask

Strong organizational skills

Attention to detail

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, E-commerce, Marketing, or related fields – or equivalent relevant experience

Knowledge of garment construction a plus

Familiarity with Asana a plus

Experience with EXCEL a MUST! Familiarity with pivot tables a plus

Experience with Shopify, Joor a plus

Adobe, Illustrator a must, Lightroom a plus.

Spanish speaking a plus

Thrives in a fast paced environment

Copywriting skills for fashion a plus
