We’re looking for an experienced and collaborative Piping Construction Superintendent in Cary/Clayton, NC, who thrives when people are in sync and construction projects are running like they should. You’ll take the lead on daily scheduling and planning activities at the project site, and ensure the right materials, equipment and people are there to get the job done. Responsibilities

Responsibilities and expectations

(selected highlights from the role): Lead on daily scheduling and planning activities at the project site, ensuring the right materials, equipment, and personnel are available to complete the work. Maintain a strong focus on safety, health, and well-being of the team and the surrounding environment. Apply people management skills to develop team members, guide performance, and foster engagement. Coordinate with project management to forecast schedule impacts and resolve field issues.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in construction management or equivalent; or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree At least 10 years of construction site experience At least 10 years of experience as a general foreman, superintendent, and/or construction manager Strong background in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or GMP-regulated construction environments Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometrics, and 3D models Experience managing subcontractors to maintain schedule alignment and quality expectations Conduct, audit, and enforce site safety protocols Track progress and manpower Provide feedback to project management on field construction activities to forecast schedule impacts and resolve field issues.

Preferred / Ideal

Collaborating in planning, design, construction and commissioning Excellent communications skills Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Bluebeam Facilitate and coordinate walkdowns and meetings with owner and designers Attend constructability reviews Safety leadership (JHA revisions / daily signed-off permits) OSHA 30

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $92,000.00 to $155,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
