As part of our P&PS business, our Advanced Manufacturing team elevates our clients by delivering cost-effective and transformative projects to the consumer goods and products, metals, pulp and paper, specialty chemical, industrial fermentation, data centers and electric vehicle markets. As a Piping Designer in our Advanced Manufacturing group, you'll be working with our team of engineers and designers to develop estimates and scopes of work, perform field investigations, interface with clients & vendors, and prepare construction design packages. You'll be a key member of our team in layout and design process and mechanical equipment for various types of clients including industrial, chemical, pulp & paper, and general manufacturing facilities. We'll tap into your expertise as you develop the design criteria for piping specifications, supports and stress analysis. We'll lean on you for your professional experience with 3D design software platforms for process equipment and piping, along with various construction deliverables that will bring value to clients. Additionally, in this role you'll: Perform conceptual and detailed designs for diverse industries such as specialty chemicals, hydrogen, or batteries Use best practices and industry knowledge to solve complex engineering problems Interface with other disciplines, project management, and the client to provide fully-coordinated projects Support field construction efforts, including reviewing submittals, responding to questions from clients and contractors, and performing field walks. Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to design of Piping systems. Although this is a hybrid work environment your home location will need to be in the Carolinas or Georgia for access to client job site locations. Ideally, you'll also have: Associates degree in Mechanical Design or Drafting Forward-thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contributing with innovative ideas Work independently for core tasks and reach out for specialized expertise Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams Willingness to travel Proficiency in SmartPlant 3D, Plant 3D, AutoCAD. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work well within a dynamic team environment with multiple deadlines. And certain roles may be eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, performance discretionary bonus, and stock. The base salary range for this position is $102,900.00 to $141,500.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
