Job Description Assistant Property Manager
We are seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) Assistant Property Manager to support day-to-day operations, resident satisfaction, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of NYC property management experience and be proactive and detail-oriented.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, addressing concerns and maintenance requests professionally.
Coordinate with supers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely issue resolution.
Prepare and distribute resident communications and email blasts.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor building conditions and curb appeal.
Prepare and review maintenance contracts.
Manage and clear violations from HPD, DOB, DSNY, FDNY, and other agencies.
Utilize NYC compliance portals (HPD Online, DOB NOW, eFiling) to certify violations.
Ensure compliance with Local Laws 11, 88, 97, and 152.
Qualifications
Bilingual in Spanish and English (required).
1-3 years of NYC property management experience.
Strong knowledge of NYC housing laws and codes (MDL, HPD, DOB, DHCR, FDNY, DSNY).
Familiarity with Local Laws 11, 88, 97, 152, and lead paint regulations.
Experience with HPD Online, DOB NOW, eFiling, and property management software (Yardi, RealPage, etc.).
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Real Estate preferred.
