
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated
Purchasing Agent
to join our team in South Salt Lake, UT. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with vendors, keeping inventory organized, and collaborating across departments to make sure the right products are ordered accurately and on time. You’ll work closely with our Controller and partner with Sales and Contract teams to support purchasing and inventory needs across the business. Responsibilities
Work with Sales and Contract teams to understand purchasing needs Plan and manage replenishment schedules for stocked hardware Create and submit purchase orders to vendors Review part numbers, product applications, and pricing with a high level of accuracy Review vendor order acknowledgements and follow up on any discrepancies, shortages, or damaged items Build strong knowledge of our products, vendors, and sourcing options Understand vendor buy programs and discount structures and meet with vendor reps to improve pricing and product offerings Purchase materials on time and within (or under) budget Assist with cycle counts and help maintain balanced inventory levels Qualifications
Comfortable working with computers and Microsoft products Able to learn and understand a wide variety of construction products, vendors, and pricing factors (discounts, freight, part substitutions, etc.) Organized and able to manage multiple tasks throughout the day Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and digital) Team-oriented and able to work across multiple departments Procurement or supply chain experience is a plus Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus Experience with commercial doors and hardware is a plus Construction industry experience is highly valued Associate degree preferred but not required Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Additional Information
Flexible schedule with part-time or full-time options. Part-time: 25–30 hours per week Full-time: 32–40 hours per week Regular business hours: Monday–Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM Starting pay:
$22–$30 per hour , depending on experience Benefits: Medical and dental insurance 401(k) with company match HSA with company contribution (when enrolled in an HSA-qualified medical plan) Paid holidays Paid vacation time after a 90-day probation period All offers of employment may be contingent upon successfully passing a background check.
