This role is the Commercial HVAC Service Agreement Sales Specialist, responsible for growing the recurring revenue account base—service agreement customers. It is a great fit for individuals who excel at building relationships, provide outstanding customer service, and thrive in cross‑functional teams. Ideal candidates are adept at assessing and understanding both immediate and future customer needs.

Responsibilities

Prospect, research, and qualify potential customers using Carrier’s equipment installed base, referrals, internal leads, directories, and competitor sites.

Make effective sales presentations, conduct customer needs assessments, answer questions, and secure new customer maintenance agreements.

Establish customer rapport and employ effective questioning techniques to identify the prospect’s needs, budget, decision‑making process, timeline, and next steps.

Develop proposals to address customer needs to close sales.

Perform site surveys and facility walkthroughs to identify equipment and site conditions to evaluate customer needs and create proposals for maintenance agreements.

Utilize applicable sales tools such as Salesforce to track and develop an active backlog of sales opportunities. Collaborate with operations to deliver quality results on maintenance agreements and resolve customer issues.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma / GED

2+ years sales or business development experience in a technical industry/service, or Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years HVAC systems experience

Must be able to lift/carry 20 lbs, climb ladders/stairs, and work on roofs/platforms

Must hold a valid driver’s license as daily area travel is required

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

Aptitude to understand building mechanical system basics, facility management budgeting processes, sustainability initiatives, and customer needs

HVAC industry knowledge

Strong communication skills (written and oral)

Strong team building and relationship building ability and desire

Pay Range The annual salary for this position is $98,750–$138,250. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
