
Summary
The Designer primarily handles material handling rack designs with other design types as required. These designs include new designs, revisions, reverse engineering, layouts, rework instructions, detail design and others. The objective is to provide quality designs and build prints per customer requirements to perform effectively within budget and schedule. Work as a team player with other departments. Attend internal reviews. Review and interpret Job Line-up sheets. Create drawings from 3D models. Revise provided drawings when necessary. Design per Customers Standards and Specifications. Ensure all Builds and Non-conformances are updated on drawings. Fills out or reviews control line-up forms per designated project. Understand and follow safety & environmental regulations and identify safety/environmental concerns. Adhere to the Quality System and participate in continuous improvement. Create 3D Models. Create change information for estimating. Ensure designs are cost effective. Experience

Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations; define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Other Information
Looking for someone with NX experience, long term and 45-50 hours a week. Min. 5 years of NX tooling design. No expected travel required. Saginaw or Fenton location available. About AMI
