What You’ll Do
Enjoy working directly with clients to make a sale? Familiar with the catering industry? The Catering Sales Manager is an integral part of the revenue generation of a hotel. You will be responsible for soliciting past and new business and ensuring guests are satisfied.
Here are some tasks you can be expected to complete on a daily basis:
Sell guest rooms, catering services, and banquet facilities to guests.
Develop and deliver persuasive presentations to prospective clients.
Conduct site inspections.
Network through participation in community and professional associations, activities and events.
Where You’ve Been You must have at least a bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, or a related field. A minimum of 2 years in hotel sales or comparable experience. You are someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills and can work well under pressure. Most importantly you are a people person! You must work professionally and positively with guests and clients at all times.
