Business Development Representative - IT Staffing
Phoenix Staff is a boutique IT staffing firm known for high-touch service, long-term relationships, and doing things the right way. We’re looking for a Client Partnerships Manager to help strengthen our sales function, support goal-setting efforts, and expand our presence in the Phoenix IT community. This role is ideal for someone who has sold a service, such as staffing, consulting, managed services, marketing/creative, professional services, or SaaS solutions.
We’re seeking someone who understands relationship-driven business, white-glove client service, and how to build trust in the Phoenix IT ecosystem. You’ll support basic sales strategy, develop and grow client accounts, build a consistent outreach rhythm, and partner closely with recruiters to deliver exceptional results. You’ll also take an active role in new business development: making outbound calls, launching targeted email and LinkedIn InMail campaigns, prospecting net-new logos, creatively sourcing leads, pitching qualified candidates, and converting first conversations into ongoing client relationships.
What You’ll Do
Support the development of our sales strategy: build prospect lists, assist in setting quarterly and annual targets, and help track progress
Contribute to refining our sales process by offering insights, suggesting improvements, and helping streamline best practices
Help lead sales discussions and create meaningful topics for team learning and growth
Partner with leadership on account planning, sales rhythm, and long-term strategy
Mentor future sales teammates as our team grows
Own accounts you bring in while continuously developing new client relationships across the Phoenix IT market
Maintain a strong outbound rhythm through calls, email sequences, LinkedIn outreach, and candidate-based marketing
Pitch qualified candidates to prospective clients to spark interest and generate new opportunities
Prospect and hunt for new business — identifying target accounts, booking intro meetings, and building net-new client relationships
Network across the Phoenix IT community (meetups, events, CIO/CISO groups, conferences, etc.)
Collaborate closely with recruiters to run thorough intake calls and ensure clear alignment for active roles in your accounts
Maintain excellent client communication, relationship management, and long-term account health
Create a consistent cadence for prospecting, follow-through, and pipeline updates
Bring forward market insights, trends, and new opportunities
Represent Phoenix Staff with professionalism, curiosity, and integrity
What You Bring
3–5 years in relationship-based sales (IT staffing, professional services, consulting, or similar service-driven environments)
Experience selling a service rather than a transactional product
Experience crafting and executing sales strategies, including tailored outreach sequencing.
Exposure to IT roles, technology trends, or the Phoenix technology landscape
Strong ability to build rapport, listen well, and deliver a white-glove client experience
Demonstrated success generating new business and building pipeline through outbound outreach
Comfort making outbound calls and running multi-channel outreach campaigns
Ability to creatively source leads and efficiently pitch qualified candidates
High level of organization, follow-through, and clear communication
Appreciation for a boutique staffing model where quality, character, and integrity matter
A consultative and patient mindset
Why Phoenix Staff
A human-first team that cares about people and treats each other with respect
Flexibility and autonomy so you can work in the way that helps you do your best
Remote-first culture with the freedom to balance work and life
Unlimited PTO because rest, family, and fresh air matter
An annual Phoenix trip with a Diamondbacks outing which is always a highlight of the year
A collaborative, supportive culture where everyone pitches in and roots for each other
A delivery team you can count on and a brand that clients genuinely trust in the Phoenix tech community
A collaborative, low-ego culture where everyone is kind, pitches in, and roots for each other
Strong commission plans
Health, dental, vision, 401k, and a WFH stipend
