We are seeking a creative and strategic Marketing Assistant to join our fast-paced Marketing Department. This role supports the development of social media content, updates to the website and intranet, and performance analysis for MLA's social media channels. The Marketing Assistant will also provide administrative support to the team, maintain mailing lists, and assist with the development of marketing collateral.
Working with the Marketing team, this role supports the execution of MLA’s content and social media strategy, helping advance key marketing goals and strengthen the firm’s brand. It also provides exposure to a range of marketing initiatives in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment.
Essential Functions
Social Media
Collate daily and monthly social media digests Assist with producing internal facing social media content (e.g. new hire announcements, placements and service anniversaries, holidays and corporate responsibility initiatives). Serve as backup support on daily postings on all social media channels: Facebook, X, BlueSky, LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram. Assist in social media development and graphic design in Canva as needed. Support the tracking and analysis of results across social media platforms. Administrative
Update bio content on website and intranet, including media mentions and headshot photos. Support events as needed. Pull and send email bounce reports after marketing email sends from HubSpot. Add content to the company's intranet. Clean video captions and transcriptions for accuracy. Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related communications field preferred. 1–3 or more years of experience in a marketing support function, preferably working with social media platforms. Experience at a law firm or other professional services firm preferred. Skill Requirements
Familiarity with social media management systems (HubSpot). Familiarity with social media metrics. Exemplary writing, editing, and proofreading skills Early adopter of and interest in new technologies, trends and social networks Familiar with Canva, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office applications Works autonomously as well as in a team atmosphere Special Requirements
Ability to stay centered and not easily be swayed by changing circumstances, internal client colleague opinions or other external factors Ability to work with competing priorities and know how to identify and rank top priorities Capable of switching gears quickly and effectively Strong attention to detail Strong collaborator, career oriented Customer service-oriented with a strong work ethic Excellent planning, organizational and decision-making skills Ability to think both analytically and creatively on projects Ability to be flexible and work with ambiguity Process oriented, yet creative Complete corporate trainings for career enhancements In office requirement – 3 days
