Hearst is seeking a strategic, creative
Social Content Strategist
to drive sponsored-content and influencer marketing initiatives across our Television and Newspaper divisions. You’ll own the end-to-end content process. This includes shaping campaign ideas to building ads for sponsored promotions while collaborating closely with sales, editorial teams, and external partners. This is a great role for fine-tuning both influencer and organic social media skill sets, all while working with nationally recognized media brands and clients! What You'll Do
Own social media strategy and planning, developing platform-specific approaches, content calendars, and recommendations aligned with client’s brand and business goals while staying current on platform trends and best practices. Create, publish, and optimize social content, including writing copy, producing or coordinating visuals and short-form video or marketing content into social-first formats across platforms. Measure and report on performance, tracking key metrics and delivering insights and recommendations to optimize content, inform strategy, and improve overall social performance. Support influencer discovery and vetting by researching creators across platforms, evaluating audience fit, engagement, and brand alignment, and maintaining organized shortlists. Assist with influencer brief development by helping build creative briefs, content guidelines, timelines, and deliverable requirements in collaboration with the internal team. Support with day-to-day communications as needed, in regards to scheduling, approvals, questions, and deliverable tracking to ensure smooth campaign execution. Assist with the execution of sponsored content, including asset collection, copywriting and editing support, editorial approvals, and multi-platform publishing in alignment with Hearst’s editorial standards and advertiser objectives. Oversee budget pacing and boosted-content strategy via Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, etc.; define targeting, monitor spend, and deliver performance summaries. Develop best-practice guides, templates, and workflows to streamline organic, influencer, and sponsored content execution. Support with internal training and workshops on social trends, influencer marketing fundamentals, and sponsored content workflows. What You Need
2 - 3 years of proven experience in creating and executing social media content and proven influencer campaign experience from start to end. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, advertising, or related field Superior written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively work with editorial teams Experience with creating posts on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Twitter and other social channels are a huge plus! Experience using Facebook Ads Manager and other paid social media tools Ability to perform light design work (typically in Canva) Self-starter and quick to execute, brainstorm, and communicate with clients and sellers Content marketing and SEO writing experience is a plus! Hands-on proficiency in social media tools: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter; ad platforms (Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager).
