Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Outside Sales Manager
to lead and scale a residential door-to-door sales team. This role is responsible for in-field leadership, daily execution, rep development, and driving customer sign-ups. The ideal candidate has direct experience managing D2D teams and understands the discipline required to win at the door.
Responsibilities
Lead daily field operations, including territory planning, ride-alongs, and in-field coaching
Set clear activity and sales expectations tied to installs, conversions, and revenue
Track and manage KPIs such as doors knocked, leads generated, orders submitted, installs completed, and churn
Coach reps on selling: speed, reliability, pricing, switching objections, and competitive displacement
Conduct daily huddles, weekly training, and ongoing product and sales skills development
Ensure compliance with brand standards, permitting requirements, and local solicitation regulations
Build and maintain a competitive, accountable, and results-driven team culture
Qualifications
3+ years of door-to-door sales experience, with 1–2 years leading residential teams
Strong ability to recruit, train, and retain high-performing D2D reps
Comfortable managing to metrics in fast-paced, install-based sales environments
Hands-on leader with strong coaching, communication, and accountability skills
Ability to work evenings and weekends
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for field management
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive base salary plus commission and performance-based bonuses
Annual Earnings Potential of $80k - $120k
