Office Representative - State Farm Agent Team Member Full Time in FRANKLIN, TN This position is with a State Farm independent contractor agent, not with State Farm Insurance Companies. State Farm agents are independent contractors who hire their own employees. State Farm agents’ employees are not employees of State Farm. Responsibilities
Assist with management of daily agency operations. Assist in monitoring agency performance. Develop strategies to meet agency goals and install, implement, and manage processes. Onboard new staff and ensure training and compliance requirements are completed on time. Make connections and build relationships with customers through communication, dependability, and accuracy. Deal with clients in a respectful and professional manner. Make proactive outbound phone calls to upcoming renewal customers to conduct policy reviews. Educate customers - limits, deductibles, liability protection such as umbrellas, etc. Make proactive calls for customer claims and other service-based campaigns. Make outbound calls to customers that have policies that could lapse if payment is not collected. Schedule customer reviews and other items – be able to manage time to complete tasks in a timely manner. Accurately process policy changes and make sure the proper documentation is collected. Policy changes include adding and removing cars, changing lienholders, address changes, billing questions, and other policy changes. Greet and take care of walk-in clients who have service needs. Coordinate walk-ins for sales with the sales team. Follow-up on policy changes and documentation requests. Coordinate and work with the sales and service teams to meet goals for the agency. Resolve or escalate customer issues or challenges to the agency owner. Make deposits and reconcile premium accounts. Answer incoming phone calls, check voicemails, and return missed calls. Assist customers with insurance questions and policy changes. Enter comments and follow-ups for each customer interaction in the agency tool. Assist with local events as needed. Other duties as required. Requirements
Insurance Licenses (TN Property and Casualty) Be able to obtain life and health insurance licenses 2 years of insurance experience and 1 year of customer service experience Leadership or management experience is a plus High-school Diploma or equivalent Ability to build relationships, practice active listening, and communicate effectively Be respectful, reliable, and empathetic with customers Willingness to learn and possess a positive attitude Self-motivated, self-starter who does not need to be micromanaged Maintain client confidentiality and privacy Be able to work independently – while working together as a team to achieve agency goals Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to problem solve and think critically Technically savvy – Ability to use Microsoft Office, manage email, and utilize online applications for comments, policy changes, and payments Be ethical, have integrity, and follow all insurance laws and agency best practices Maintain continuing education requirements for insurance licenses This position is with a State Farm independent contractor agent, not with State Farm Insurance Companies. Employees of State Farm agents must be able to successfully complete any applicable licensing requirements and training programs.
