This role is primarily onsite with the possibility of remote work once a week./ppThe Managing Clerk Assistant will learn and perform tasks associated with the filing and service of pleadings and other documents with the Federal, State and Local Courts. This is an excellent opportunity for those seeking to gain experience with a national law firm./ppQualifications/pulliMust have a High School diploma/liliAssociate or Bachelors degree preferred/liliProficiency with MS Office and standard office equipment/liliAbility to integrate into a fast-paced environment/liliMust have very strong communication skills/liliMust be able to demonstrate initiative and responsibility/liliExperience using the Courts ECF (Electronic Filing) Systems/liliAbility to read a court docket/liliBasic understanding of the litigation process, familiar with filing procedure/liliStrong attention to detail and ability to remain focused/liliAbility to work collaboratively with a team of filing professionals/li/ulpResponsibilities/pulliReview pleadings to ensure compliance with court rules and communicate necessary changes to attorneys, paralegals, and secretaries; finalize filing details with Court Clerks/liliPerform Federal and State Court e-filings and provide confirmations to attorneys, paralegals, and secretaries/liliCoordinate the service of papers on parties and non-parties by outside process servers/liliProper routing of incoming mail and telephone calls as required/liliInternet research for purposes of retrieving documents, confirming appearances and obtaining general legal and procedural information/li/ulpA variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, other business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances.
