Basic Function The program director is responsible for teaching courses as needed per term, curriculum design, program administration and accreditation, student evaluation and advisement, and outcomes assessment. The primary function of the Program Director is to ensure the day-to-day delivery of their program at their respective campus, adhering to all school policy guidelines and procedures. This is not limited to but includes the management and oversight of all instructors in their didactic and clinical environments.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Programmatic Duties and Responsibilities
Able to work collaboratively with all members of the Gurnick team and seek assistance when necessary.
Update campus director and Dean of Imaging on issues regarding the program, students, faculty, or campus.
Able to align school goals, campus goals, and program goals.
Timely completion of tasks assigned.
Maintains professionalism, ethical behavior, and integrity at all times.
Develop and manage the annual ProgramEffectiveness Plan (PEP).
Make recommendations to the hiring committee to hire/discharge instructors at their campus using proper procedures, policy, and documentation.
Observe each instructor in the didactic or clinical setting at least once per term.
Monitor and update faculty file folders as necessary (student feedback, evaluations, goal setting,reprimands, improvement plans, continuing education plans, in-service training, etc.).
Participate in program advisory board meetings, improvement committees, and meetings as requested to give feedback and provide recommendations to the Dean of Imaging/ campus director.
Ensure procedure compliance with ABHES and all other applicable governing /accrediting bodies.
Ensure acceptable satisfaction levels surrounding curriculum delivery – student feedback and clinical site feedback.
Ensure the required clinical placements are actively managed, planned, and needs communicated to the Outreach Department for marketing support.
Ensure credit-granting guidelines are met for the program.
Ensure student evaluations(Instructor/Course, Clinical Facility, etc.) are distributed and collected at the conclusion of all courses, with creation and implementation of a plan of improvement.
Assign a Radiation Safety Officer and an Alternative Radiation Safety Officer.
Strong adherence and knowledge of Title 17 in all matters related to the program, teaching, and clinical sites.
If hired in a hybrid or remote capacity, the Program Director is required to travel to campus locations as part of their role to support program oversight, faculty engagement, and student success.
The frequency and scope of required campus travel will be determined by programmatic needs, accreditation requirements, and operational priorities.
Hybrid or remote status does not eliminate on-campus responsibilities, as in-person presence may be required for meetings, evaluations, accreditation activities, and key student or faculty support functions.

Requirements
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree for the LX/MAS and a Master’s degree for the Radiologic Technology Program.
Graduate of a CDPH-RHB/JRCERT/ARRT-accredited program or an otherwise recognized training entity.
Minimum of 3-5 years direct patient care experience as a Limited X-Ray Technician or Radiologic Technologist at an imaging facility, clinic, or hospital.
Minimum two years of teaching experience with one year of teaching in a JRCERT-accredited program when applicable.
Current State and National licenses(if applicable) in Radiologic Technician or Radiologic Technologist.
Knowledge and experience with JRCERT accreditation standards.
