As a Director of Technology, you will be a core member of RBW supporting our growth and effectiveness. RBW is a 55-person decorative lighting manufacturer specializing in configure-to-order architectural specification products. Our iconic sconces and pendants are specified by architects and designers worldwide for commercial and high-end residential projects. We build to order, leveraging cloud-based CAD (Onshape), cloud-based ERP (NetSuite), and a custom MES to deliver personalized lighting solutions with precision and speed. We are pursuing significant growth through product innovation, operational excellence, and international expansion. Technology is a critical enabler of this strategy. What Success Looks Like
In your first year, you will have: Business Systems Integration: Successfully integrated technology platforms to support partnership manufacturer relationships, including 3rd-party ERP data exchanges, compliance documentation systems for international markets, and enhanced product configurator capabilities. Operational Stability: Maintained 99%+ uptime on critical business systems (NetSuite, Yield MES, web properties) with zero significant security incidents and completed annual security audit with remediation. Business Intelligence: Delivered enhanced PowerBI dashboards providing real-time visibility into sales metrics, financial KPIs, and New Product Development performance, enabling data-driven decision-making across leadership. Team Development: Developed your direct report into a more autonomous technical leader while establishing clear collaboration with the People team on hardware/device management. Strategic Partnership: Established yourself as a trusted technology advisor to leadership, proactively identifying technology opportunities that support business growth and operational efficiency. Accountabilities
Strategic Technology Leadership (70%) Own technology strategy aligned with RBW business objectives, including support for configure-to-order operations, international expansion, and partnership integrations Lead business systems architecture across NetSuite ERP, cloud-based CAD (Onshape), and custom MES (Yield), ensuring seamless data flow from design through shopfloor bill of materials execution Netsuite: Advanced SuiteScript and SuiteQL Architect and maintain cross-platform integrations using Celigo and NiFi to synchronize data across sales, marketing, and operations systems Partner with Innovation and Marketing teams on product configurator architecture and website deployment pipelines Design and deliver business intelligence solutions through PowerBI, providing leadership with actionable insights Evaluate and recommend technology investments that support business growth and competitive advantage Technical Operations & Infrastructure (30%) Accountable for IT operations including business applications, endpoint management, network communications, and security processes Ensure design, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems supporting a manufacturing environment Manage network architecture, cybersecurity initiatives, and identity/access management Coordinate with People team on hardware provisioning and MDM (Rippling) deployment Lead and develop one direct report (Developer) while maintaining dotted-line coordination with People team on device-related responsibilities Build team capability aligned with business growth trajectory Skills, knowledge and expertise

Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience) 10+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, with demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into technology roadmaps Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and manufacturing technology environments Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and security principles Proven ability to manage cross-functional technology projects and vendor relationships Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders Preferred
Experience in manufacturing, inventory management, or physical goods businesses Familiarity with configure-to-order or build-to-order operations Experience with cloud-based CAD/PLM systems and manufacturing execution systems RBW Benefits Package
