What You Can Expect In This Role
Responsible for achieving fixed annuity sales and recruiting goals within assigned territories for North American (NA) Company for Life and Health (the Company). Responsible for building and maintaining professional relationships with key Managing General Agent (MGA) partners and new MGAs.
What You'll Do In This Role
Work within assigned region to achieve annuity sales objectives (in both quantity and quality of sales).
Maintain production levels for existing MGA partners and recruit new, qualified MGAs who meet the company’s profile and hiring guidelines; MGA sales growth targets shall be established annually.
Build relationships with key distributors; attend MGA events sponsored by key partners; exude comfort and confidence in making presentations to groups of producers, becoming a trusted advisor to agencies, and in general adding value to our key distributors.
Deliver presentations to educate MGAs (including marketers) within assigned geographic territory by becoming knowledgeable about the products, sales materials, support services, market conduct and sales practices.
Understand and communicate all of the Company’s annuity products and features and recommend to the Company additional products, services or changes that will positively affect our results.
Demonstrate strong ability to articulate the Company’s strategy and tell a compelling story about strengths, culture, values, products and services to drive sales growth and deeper distributor relationships.
Conduct WebEx sessions within assigned territory, and on a national basis, in order to promote North American annuity products, programs and incentives. Act as liaison between our MGA partners and home office personnel.
Ensure MGAs receive appropriate communications regarding company rates, promotions, changes, policies and procedures.
Actively pursue opportunities to collaborate with other home office employees, and where necessary, work across all business lines for the best results for Sammons Financial Group (SFG) member companies as a whole.
Assert corrective action to remedy sales practices that are detrimental to the client or the Company; these actions may include the following: additional training of the distributor or producer, directives to the producer to stop detrimental sales practices and termination of producers.
Support expense management by completing accurate travel expense reports on a timely basis.
Attend home office and industry training meetings.
Frequent in-region travel for agent meetings, approximately 50-75% overnight or road travel expected.

What We're Looking For
Bachelor's Degree Marketing, Business Administration, Economics or equivalent business experience Preferred
Minimum 5 years' experience in Annuity sales with demonstrated successful track record Preferred
