Job Description
Turning Point USA is seeking a public relations professional to assist with daily tasks including managing TPUSA's brand image in print and digital formats, assisting the PR team in press releases, and increasing awareness of the TPUSA brand. Additional responsibilities include placing opinion editorials in print and digital publications, providing story pitches, and crisis management. The PR administrator will work with the email marketing team, responding to media inquiries, and arranging interviews and media hits. Additional daily tasks include building relationships with members of the media, new personalities, and producers in preparation for and during conferences and events.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2-4 years of public relations/publicist experience;
- Knowledge of social media, advertising, and brand/image management;
- Experience drafting press releases;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Knowledge of Google Drive Applications (Google Docs/Sheets/Slides);
- Highly detail-oriented with a strong attention to producing accurate, polished work while managing multiple priorities;
- Willingness to fulfill all duties listed and any additional duties assigned;
- Passion for the mission of TPUSA, conservative principles and ideals;
- Flexibility and enthusiasm for dynamic and fast paced work environment;
- Strong work ethic and goal oriented;
- Self-starter and self-motivated;
- Punctual and very responsive;
- Ethical and responsible behavior including a high level of honesty, confidentiality, and trustworthiness;
- Effectively reports updates and progress to leadership in a timely manner;
- Demonstrates the physical ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time, and safely lift up to 15 lbs;
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to locations as needed.
