HORIBA Industrial Process & Environmental is an industry leader in providing total solutions for protecting the environment, and for industrial processing analysis. We provide technologies to measure air, water, process liquids, and soil quality. Our North American Industrial Process & Environmental group is searching for an experienced service engineer to support the Salt Lake City, UT location. The successful candidate will build, install, maintain and repair Raman equipment, primarily in-house and at customer locations, as needed. Responsibilities

Under general supervision, build, validate, install, maintain and repair HORIBA’s Process Instruments brand of Raman equipment; assist with customer support; maintain in-house repair and testing facilities. Maintain in-house repair facilities, including calibration, repair, and maintenance of Raman spectroscopy analyzers, maintaining test equipment. Provide technical assistance to customers and HORIBA’s Process Instruments depts, including parts and technical question research, and assisting with Requests for Quotations. Assist with the construction and validation of products, including wiring analyzer boxes, setting up computers, and wiring I/O and AC circuits. Conduct FAT (Factory Acceptance tests) with the customer before shipping. Prepare Field Service Reports for customer invoicing, warranty, labor, and materials charges. Create and modify electrical schematics and panel layout drawings using AutoCAD. Interpret technical specifications and translate them into electrical control designs. Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to ensure drawing accuracy for production and field use. Qualifications / Skills

Bachelor’s degree in a technical area such as Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering or equivalent. Able to demonstrate knowledge of electronics repair, ability to troubleshoot to component level and use electronic test equipment. Knowledge of analyzers typically found in refineries or chemical plants. Theory of operation, setup, calibration, repair, diagnosing faults, etc. Basic knowledge of computer programming, Microsoft products and MATLAB. Background knowledge of spectroscopy and its principles is a plus. The position also includes responsibilities for generating and updating AutoCAD drawings. The position often requires work beyond a normal workday or workweek. Must be able to travel, both domestically and internationally. Must be able to drive a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license; must be able to obtain a passport. Compensation & Benefits
