Real Estate Financial Analyst , by a privately-held, vertically integrated real estate owner in Orange County, CA. The
Analyst
will support portfolio strategy, executive reporting, financial analysis, and long-term planning initiatives while working closely with senior leadership. The ideal candidate is deeply analytical, confident in their analyses, and capable of delivering analysis relied upon by senior leadership. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and present comprehensive financial analyses, reports, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership. Support portfolio-level performance analysis, including operational and financial metrics for stabilized assets. Build and maintain complex financial models, using Excel and ARGUS, used for planning, forecasting, and strategic evaluation. Assist with long-term planning initiatives, including model development, scenario analysis, and implementation support. Prepare executive-level reporting materials, dashboards, and presentation decks for leadership and Board meetings. Support acquisition, disposition, and portfolio strategy analysis, including yield maintenance and credit utilization reporting. Partner with Accounting and Asset Management teams to ensure data integrity and alignment across reporting. Assist with loan, appraisal, and financing-related reporting across the portfolio. Contribute to budgeting, board materials, and corporate financial initiatives. Support opportunity zone analysis, 1031 exchange modeling, and other tax-related real estate initiatives as needed. Participate in the refinement and implementation of reporting and analytics tools, including but not limited to Yardi and PowerBI. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Accounting, or related field. 1-3 years of experience in real estate, investments, private equity, or a similarly analytical environment. Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills, with the ability to build complex financial models and produce executive-level presentations and reports. Working knowledge of ARGUS is strongly preferred. Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and confidence in quantitative outputs. Buyer-side or corporate real estate modeling experience is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable operating in a high-visibility role.
