The Assistant Director of Enrollment Management is a key member of the Enrollment Management team, assisting the Director of Enrollment Management in implementing the enrollment strategy. This individual will work closely with faculty, administrators, and Enrollment Volunteers, and participate in all phases of the admissions process and programs. Major Functions and Responsibilities
Leads the development and execution of the annual recruitment plan, focusing on expanding the scope and reach of the applicant pool. Manages the content and execution of the campus visit experience, ensuring all tours, information sessions, and welcome processes are professional, welcoming, and aligned with the School’s brand. Interview prospective students and families and provide clear, thoughtful guidance on the admissions process. Oversee the group activity process with prospective applicants and their families. Facilitates the Admissions Review Committee meetings, reviewing applicant files, and offering insights gathered from direct recruitment and applicant interviews. Manages the Parent Ambassador Programs, ensuring ambassadors are refreshed and trained. Oversee the Student Ambassador program, alongside the Admissions Associate, ensuring student leadership development and an authentic student voice. Collaborate with the Strategic Operations Team (SOT) and the events team to plan and execute key on-site admissions events and programs (Open House, Partner School Reception, Placement Testing days, Acceptance week events, Shadow Days, etc.). Collaborate with the Communications Team regarding materials and invitations for the events. Coordinate on-campus special-interest follow-up experiences, such as athletics and arts programs. Collaborate with departments across campus, such as Communications, Finance, Athletics, and Student Life, for alignment on recruitment efforts. Support student advisory groups as they relate to enrollment management. Maintain partner school information, including historical data, trends, and forecasting. Support the Director of Enrollment Management with furthering the School’s DEIB commitment. Serve as key deputy for the Director, representing the School and Director at internal and external events, as needed. Support the Director of Enrollment Management with analyzing data, reporting trends, and community surveys. Skills and Qualifications
7+ years of experience in Enrollment Management or Admissions, preferably in a secondary independent school. High energy and enthusiasm to authentically promote Flintridge Prep and serve as its ambassador. Dynamic interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and warm leadership style. Ability to balance working independently and collaboratively with colleagues while interacting effectively and professionally with all members of the school community. Active and authentic listener with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong public speaking skills. Ability to work with confidential information with discretion and high ethical standards. Strong organizational skills for multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities to manage competing deadlines. Strong competency and ability to plan and execute large events. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint), Zoom, web tools, and experience with admissions databases and CRM systems. Must have the ability and flexibility to travel on behalf of the institution and work occasional evenings and weekends, as required. Salary & Benefits
This position is full-time, onsite, and year-round with a salary of $95,000 to $100,000, depending on skills and experience.
