Hotel Sales Manager will be responsible for soliciting and developing group account leads for The Blackwell Inn and Pfahl Conference Center; possesses excellent communication skills; aggressively solicits new business and exceeds established goals for the market segment as designated by the Director of Sales; actively participates in strategies to ensure closing on each business opportunity to maximize revenue; ensures business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for proper service delivery in accordance with hotel standards; manages accounts to achieve guest satisfaction; achieves and/or exceeds all revenue goals by soliciting past and new business; generates sales plans and strategies to meet and/or exceed revenue goals; captures a higher percentage of the current market share; represents the property with prospective customers, conducting property tours and consulting with coordinators regarding detailed arrangements; respond to leads in an efficient and expeditious manner; communicates effectively with external and internal clients in a friendly, positive manner with confidence; meets/exceeds client needs and resolves client issues, even through challenging situation; manages multiple projects simultaneously and meets deadlines; works well under pressure, is flexible and organized with attention to detail; acts as a team player with a positive attitude; possesses excellent time management, prospecting and negotiating skills; self-motivates, is creative and energetic; possesses proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft products as well as operate Amadeus/Delphi sales system and knowledge of OPERA PMS. The Blackwell Inn is a 24/7 operation, as such, this position will operate with a flexible schedule and will require some evening and weekend hours. Performs other duties as assigned. Responsibilities

Solicit and develop group account leads for The Blackwell Inn and Pfahl Conference Center. Engage in strategies to close business opportunities to maximize revenue. Ensure proper and timely turnover of business for service delivery in accordance with hotel standards. Manage accounts to achieve guest satisfaction and exceed revenue goals. Generate sales plans and strategies to meet or exceed revenue goals; aim to increase market share. Represent the property to prospective customers, conduct property tours, and consult with coordinators on detailed arrangements. Respond to leads efficiently and expeditiously; communicate with external and internal clients clearly and confidently. Meet or exceed client needs and resolve issues, even in challenging situations. Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines; work well under pressure, stay flexible and organized with attention to detail. Act as a team player with a positive attitude; demonstrate time management, prospecting, and negotiating skills. Maintain proficient computer skills including Microsoft products; operate Amadeus/Delphi sales system and knowledge of OPERA PMS. Shift: The Blackwell Inn operates 24/7; the role requires a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekend hours. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be required. Associate degree in relevant field may be preferred. 2 years of relevant experience required. 4-6 years of relevant experience preferred. Additional Information
