Jetstream Mechanical is currently seeking an HVAC Comfort Consultant, in Ann Arbor, MI.
The HVAC Comfort Consultant is responsible for utilizing their expert knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to advise clients on the best HVAC solutions for their needs.
This individual works closely with clients to understand their needs and provides recommendations on installation, maintenance, and problem resolution. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assess and clearly understand each client’s residential HVAC needs to deliver tailored comfort solutions. Confidently utilize and present a standardized sales presentation to educate and engage homeowners. Serve as a trusted advisor by recommending the most effective, energy-efficient HVAC solutions for each situation. Design customized HVAC system solutions that align with client requirements, home specifications, and budget. Conduct in-home estimates, including occasional early morning and evening appointments to meet customer availability. Inspect and evaluate existing HVAC systems to verify performance, efficiency, and overall condition. Proactively identify system deficiencies and provide clear, actionable recommendations for improvement or replacement. Educate homeowners on proper HVAC maintenance, system care, and long-term performance optimization. Stay current on emerging HVAC technologies, products, and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge. Maintain compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards. Develop accurate, compelling sales proposals from qualified leads in a timely manner. Participate in daily debriefs and collaborate closely with the residential sales team to drive continuous improvement. Perform consistent follow-up on both sold and unsold estimates to maximize customer satisfaction and close opportunities. Actively engage in ongoing training, including in-house sessions, field training, and manufacturer-led programs. Build and maintain strong referral networks to support sustained business growth and community presence. Skills and Qualifications
3 + years of proven success in a former sales position with former experience as an HVAC consultant or similar role within building trades/construction Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, and principles Ability to travel to client sites Former experience with Service Titan and sales applications Basic computer proficiency, Word, Outlook, Excel and ability to manage CRM Ability to interpret complex information explain in layman’s terms Excellent customer service skills and strong presentation skills Highly motivated with a goal-oriented mindset approach to work Desire to work in a fast-paced environment Exceptional organizational skills with follow-through abilities Proficiency in HVAC diagnostic and design software tools Possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle record Ability to pass a pre-employment background check Ability to travel to and around the greater Ann Arbor MI area Territory includes but is not limited to greater Ann Arbor, MI: Saline, Tecumseh, Manchester, Chelsea, Brighton, Monroe, and Howell
