
The Sales Trainer is responsible for designing and delivering sales training within the four-week Technician Training Academy. This role focuses exclusively on equipping new technicians with the sales skills, behaviors, and confidence required to succeed in the field. Technicians travel from markets nationwide to attend the Academy, making this a high-visibility role with direct impact on revenue performance, customer experience, and technician readiness. The Sales Trainer partners closely with technical trainers, operations, and sales leadership to ensure a seamless transition from classroom learning to in-market execution
What You’ll Do
Deliver instructor‑led sales training as part of a structured 4‑week academy program
Teach and reinforce the company’s standardized sales process, language, and frameworks
Train technicians on rapport building, customer discovery, presenting estimates, financing options, handling objections, and closing with integrity
Partner with sales and training Leadership to refine and improve sales curriculum
Develop and update training materials including slide decks, role‑play scenarios, and case studies
Facilitate role‑plays, mock sales scenarios, and real‑world simulations
Observe trainee performance and provide clear, actionable coaching feedback
Identify skill gaps and adjust training delivery accordingly
Assess trainee progress through evaluations and practical presentations
Track and report training outcomes and trends
Collaborate with post‑academy coaching teams to support field readiness
What You’ll Bring
3+ years of successful sales experience in a consultative or in‑home sales environment
2+ years of sales training, coaching, or instructional experience
Confidence coaching individuals and groups at varying skill levels
Excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation skills
Comfortable leading groups, managing classrooms, and running role‑plays
Strong organizational, time‑management, and multitasking skills
Comfort using technology, systems, and training tools (ServiceTitan a plus)
Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
Self‑motivated, reliable, and adaptable in a fast‑paced environment
High level of professionalism, consistency, and attention to detail
High school diploma or equivalent required

Effective instructional and facilitation skills; able to clearly teach and demonstrate technical, operational, and service excellence concepts
Strong coaching and feedback capability, including confidence in addressing performance gaps and having difficult growth conversations
