
Diatom Aviation is eager to hire great talent, and we are searching for a GSE Sales Manager to support our rapid growth in serving air-c cargo carriers in Cincinnati (CVG) and other stations in the region. The GSE Sales Manager will specialize in selling repair station maintenance services, securing new business within the aviation industry, and growing and fostering long-term customer relationships.

The GSE Sales Manager is a full-time role responsible for: Prospecting, lead-generating, and brining in sales addressing customers' specific maintenance needs and challenges establishing trust and credibility by demonstrating expertise in repair station maintenance market research and competitive analysis preparing regular forecasts and sales reports, monitor performance metrics to track progress, and evaluate results. Establish new and maintain strong existing relationships with customer-base in designated regions to profitably grow the business. Manages the entire sales process (RFP/RFQ through quote and after sales process) including customer management for long-term contracts. Creates and implements customer engagement plans ensuring regular customer touch points via both in person and remote meetings. Actively manages the sales pipeline. Responsible for delivering order intake, revenue and business growth for assigned customer accounts Performs account review (internal/external) Execute sales plans for assigned region, or significant accounts in alignment with regional business objectives. Identifies and develops new business opportunities. Collaborates with other departments to ensure a positive customer experience. Prepares and presents sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to support regional director. Develops relevant market intelligence and competitive information to support regional planning. Supports the negotiation of sales contracts, and terms and conditions Identify and mitigate business risk. Ensures internal communication/cooperation is achieved. Travel to customers as needed. Attend industry conferences and trade shows. Coordinate potential sales opportunities with other Diatom Capital businesses. The Person
The GSE Sales Manager will be an exceptional team player with high energy. Integrity, honesty, trustworthiness, and self-discipline are essential character traits. NOTE: The Company’s facilities, vehicles, and operations are alcohol and drug-free, and candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. The GSE Sales Manager will report to Diatom Aviation senior leadership Experience Required
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a commercial sales role. Demonstrated ability to effectively participate in customer meetings on behalf of the company. Education or Formal Training
Bachelors of Science in technical or business discipline or equivalent. Formal training in negotiating is a plus. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Solid knowledge of commercial principles; cost, pricing, volume discounts, payment. Solid understanding of business financial analysis. Experience with ground support equipment (GSE) for aerospace/aviation is desired. Able to foster team environment (and across functional groups). Ability to establish credibility with internal and external customers. Must be MS Office literate. Solid oral and written communication skills. Strong multi-task and prioritization skills. Solid ability to negotiate LTA contracts, terms and conditions. Ability to affect change through influence. Excellent independent judgment, decision making and problem-solving skills. Compensation will be commensurate with the strength and experience of the candidate, in a likely range between $60-$80k annually plus bonus and a generous benefits package including health, dental and vision insurance, health savings account, and 401(k) plan.
