
Overview
Underground Printing (UGP) is seeking a dynamic Sales Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Availability outside regular business hours may be required, ensuring excellent customer support and the ability to close deals promptly. The Sales Manager will be a member of the Sales team, working alongside other Sales Managers, and reporting to the Regional Sales Manager. This position is in person, reporting to the Regional Manager and working out of our retail location in Lexington, KY. It is a fixed work schedule with responsibility for coordinating with the direct manager and/or team members in handling relevant urgent action items as they arise, even during non-work hours. Reporting directly to this position are store and sales associates, and team(s), along with the functions deemed relevant to the associated processes. Possible future career paths include Regional Sales Manager and National Sales Manager.
Specific responsibilities
Promote UGP's core values; show up, work hard, be respectful and honest, strive for excellence, do what you say and promote DEI
Convert quotes to leads and sales. Marketing drives quotes; Sales Managers interact with quotes and convert to orders.
Communicate sales, store and personnel information to the regional manager in a timely manner
Adhere to the Digital Code of Conduct
Provide constructive feedback to affect change and be part of the change
Participate in weekly 1-on-1 meetings with the Regional Sales Manager and a weekly L10 with the RSM and other sales managers
Assist in coverage when other UGP team members are unavailable, including email and phone coverage and potential travel to other UGP locations
Take care of customers to ensure the best possible experience and outcome
Engage with local communities and attend events such as Downtown Association meetings, networking groups, and chamber of commerce meetings
Communicate with customers via phone, email or in person to determine their needs; focus on customer needs rather than sales manager preferences
Suggest ideas for sales and marketing tools and relay them to the Regional Sales Manager
Work with the National Sales Manager and Head of Marketing to engage with customers and drive sales at events and local opportunities
Location
Responsible for store opening and closing per the opening/closing checklists in accordance with store hours
Deposit money to the bank for custom and retail transactions in a timely, efficient manner per procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, welcoming storefront; ensure products are easy to find and clearly marked
Ensure the store is open for scheduled hours and special events
Coordinate retail displays to optimize sales; keep racks and cubbies full, stocked, and organized
Actively manage the store on major retail event days (e.g., home football weekends, graduations, large events/fairs)
An ideal candidate would love the customer-salesperson relationship, enjoy generating their own sales, and appreciate the environment and clientele in their local area.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
Excellent writing and oral communication skills
Previous sales experience
Strong typing speed and accuracy
Highly advanced organizational skills
Proficiency with Gmail, cloud computing tools, and social media
Prior management experience is preferred
