Summary: Q2 is seeking an Associate Event Manager who will be responsible for the strategic planning, management, and execution of Q2 hosted events and corporate trade shows and create experiences that help to build thought leadership and brand awareness, establish and foster connections, and drive revenue opportunities and contribute to wins. This is an opportunity for a proactive and innovative event professional with the ability to think beyond logistical execution. This role will reside within the marketing organization and will report to the Director, Trade Shows and Events. Travel required: approximately 20% travel.
Responsibilities Manage events for Q2 including, but not limited to hosted events and conferences and industry trade shows
Deliver an engaging and thoughtful customer experience at all events
Manage all event coordination including day-to-day administration, speaker, venue, vendor communication, and cross-departmental collaboration
Clearly communicate objectives, project status and updates to stakeholders on a regular and consistent basis
Serve as core team planning member for annual client conference
Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress of assigned events
Negotiate and manage vendor contracts related to assigned events
Assist department in meeting business objectives for lead generation
Responsible for ensuring that all security, availability, confidentiality and privacy policies and controls are adhered to
Other duties as assigned
Experience & Knowledge A Bachelor’s degree and ideally one year of experience in corporate or association event management and trade shows
Ability to think strategically, generate creative solutions and manage multiple, time-sensitive projects
Detail oriented, organized, strong project management and budget management skills
Proven ability to manage projects independently, drive projects to completion, and implement change
Communication and interpersonal skills – ability to build strong working relationships and communicate cross functionally and with sales teams and leaders
Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
Ability to work across all levels of stakeholder management and engage in professional and productive collaboration across teams
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, including advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
Strong skills in Cvent, SFDC, Marketo, Wrike preferred
CMP or CTSM Credentials preferred
Ability to travel
Physical Demands: This job requires some physical demands. Examples: standing, walking, lifting/moving objects up to 25 pounds, vision req., noise level, etc., particularly when on-site at an event. Compensation & Benefits
Q2’s compensation reflects the cost of labor across a variety of U.S. geographic markets, and we pay based upon the applicant’s geographic location as well as job-related knowledge, skills and experience. This position is a non-exempt hourly position and the range for this position for New York City, Seattle and the San Francisco Bay Area-based roles is $66,000.00-$80,000.00. For New York state (outside New York City), Washington state (outside Seattle), California (outside the San Francisco Bay Area), and Colorado-based roles, the anticipated base salary range for this position is $52,000.00-$66,000.00. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the applicant’s actual geographic location during the hiring process. Salary ranges for Sales positions are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission). A variable bonus and/or restricted stock unit grant may be provided as part of the compensation package in addition to a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
