Videographer & Editor (Part-Time, In-House)
The Woodlands, TX + Local Client Travel
Harper Grayson Communications is looking for a part-time, in-house Videographer & Editor to support our growing social media department. This role is responsible for the full lifecycle of video production, from planning and filming to editing and final delivery, with a strong focus on short-form social content.
This is not a freelance role. You’ll work closely with our Director of Social Media and internal creative team to produce strategic, high-performing video content for a variety of service-based clients.
What You’ll Be Doing Filming & Client Direction
Film 2–5+ client sessions per month, with flexibility as the department grows
Travel locally to client offices and on-location shoots across the Greater Houston area
Lead shoot-day execution including lighting, framing, sound, and client direction
Guide clients on camera with confidence, helping them feel comfortable and natural
Capture talking heads, B-roll, voiceovers, and behind-the-scenes footage
Adapt filming style based on client brand, industry, and platform needs
Editing & Post-Production
Edit 50+ short-form videos per month for platforms like Instagram and Facebook
Add captions, text overlays, music, and transitions aligned with social best practices
Export videos in correct formats and aspect ratios (9:16, 1:1, etc.)
Maintain organized file systems using tools like Google Drive, Dropbox, or Frame.io
Ensure all content is polished, on-brand, and consistent with each client’s visual identity
Strategy & Collaboration
Collaborate with the Director of Social Media and content team on video concepts
Provide creative input on trends, hooks, and platform-specific strategies
Review video performance and trends to continuously improve results
Participate in internal planning meetings and contribute to a growing in-house video team
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience filming and editing short-form social media content
Strong understanding of Instagram and Facebook video formats and trends
Comfortable directing clients and talent on set
Strong storytelling instincts with attention to pacing, visuals, and audio
Organized, tech-savvy, and able to manage multiple projects at once
Collaborative, reliable, and excited to grow within a creative team
Tools & Equipment
Must provide own filming equipment (camera, mic, lighting, etc.)
Editing software of choice (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, CapCut, Descript, etc.)
Familiarity with Google Drive, Dropbox, Frame.io, or similar tools preferred
