The Marketing Manager is responsible for the execution of marketing strategies that support brand development, new student growth, and other priorities for their assigned academic college (College of Business, College of Health Professions, College of IT, or Teachers College). The Manager will work with the Director to understand internal and external factors that affect college performance including the evolving portfolio of academic course and program offerings, industry associations and employer partnerships, target audiences, market demand trends, and competitor behavior. The Manager collaborates daily with associate deans and program chairs within their assigned college to understand program goals, develop campaigns, execute college-specific initiatives, and report on results. The role requires influence through collaboration and a strong presence within the Marketing team, with fluency across brand, traditional and digital media, SEO, content marketing, conference and event marketing, and related disciplines. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Manage new college-specific campaigns and strategies to support college goals, from strategy brief creation to delivery of final creative. Manage new product launch and product redevelopment processes, including development of new creative and launch of program-specific initiatives. Help develop annual college marketing strategy with measurable KPIs, audiences, and messaging for brand/paid media, content, and partnerships; track campaigns, launches, and follow-up across strategy. Understand college target forecasts, monthly adjustments, and strategies to hit targets; launch tactics to drive growth. Build relationships of trust with college program cluster teams — academic deans and program chairs. Stay informed on external and internal factors influencing college performance; read industry publications to understand students, prospects, and industry trends. Translate college strategy into tactical execution by working with the college director to understand goals and audiences. Research new audience targeting, industry publications, industry groups and associations, and other program-level marketing opportunities. Collaborate with internal and agency creative teams to ensure creative requests are accurate, on time, and on brand. Research strategic program and audience media placements, develop plans and budgets, manage creative requests and production. Performs other related duties as assigned. Experience working with cross-functional teams and meeting deadlines. Clear and persuasive verbal and written communication with staff and peers. Strong quantitative and strategic analysis skills. Understanding of a wide variety of marketing disciplines, including traditional and digital media, SEO, content marketing, and conference and event marketing. Exceptional project management and organization skills. Competencies

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, a related field, or equivalent experience. Four (4) years of related marketing experience. Preferred Qualifications: Client-facing agency experience. Industry experience in higher education and/or areas relevant to WGU colleges (e.g., healthcare, K-12 education, IT). Physical Requirements
