DURATION Moulding & Millwork (a Wholesale Manufacturing Division of Hamilton Building Supply) is seeking a

Regional Sales Representative

for the New York City Metropolitan Area. The ideal candidate will have a professional, positive attitude, a strong work ethic and adeptness at building relationships and working with all aspects of the channel: from architects to distributors, retailers to contractors, and even building owners if necessary. The candidate’s focus will be to proactively grow the New York City Metropolitan Area market by seeking out and developing new business while maintaining existing. The candidate will align efforts with DURATION Moulding and Millwork’s mission to provide products that are architecturally correct, aesthetically pleasing, highly stable, extremely durable, and environmentally friendly to the market to provide long-term value to its customers. Pay is commensurate with experience. Hamilton Building Supply is a 2021 Lumber and Building Material Dealer of the Year and has been independent for 102 years. HBS, along with DURATION Moulding & Millwork, is a financially strong, family-owned company.

Responsibilities

Collaborating with manager to set goals and identify targets. Seeking out architectural specifiers of siding, trim, and millwork products. Providing AIA CEU and non-CEU trainings – both in person and remote. Seeking out dealer and distribution opportunities. Forwarding product inquiries to office for preparation of formal proposals. Responding to client service or product issue requests in a timely fashion – making site visits to inspect as needed. Actively participating in all regional trades shows as agreed up by management. Diligently adding to, updating, and maintaining contact database. Utilizing sales reports to maintain insight on and status of customer accounts and purchasing histories. Performing other tasks and related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Must have prior sales experience in the building materials sector with general knowledge of siding and exterior millwork. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent sales and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to take initiative and meet deadlines. Strong computer skills and basic math. Strong work ethic and desire to grow personally and professionally. Availability to do occasional overnights for territory coverage as needed. Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and CRM software is necessary. High school diploma or equivalent.
