Director of Information Systems & ERP - Job Overview
We are looking to hire an IT Professional with a strong background in the Project Management of ERP Systems to join our Company. We are a Coin, Precious Metals & Collectibles company, located in Palatine, Illinois. We have 5 retail store locations. We are looking for someone with strong experience in the Coin Industry. You will be responsible for the day-to-day IT needs of PGS, and the Planning, Development, Customization, Implementation, and Testing of our new Odoo ERP System, in all the stores.
Responsibilities
- 30% of your time will be general IT responsibilities, including Networking, Hardware and PCs, Software and OSs, and all other technical issues in day-to-day businesses.
- 70% of your time, you will work with a 3rd Party Project Manager to develop our Odoo ERP system for the needs of PGS. This will involve Planning, Development, Customization, and Hardcoding of our Odoo ERP System for new and improved Forms, Queries, and Reports, using Python and JS, and other languages.

Qualifications
- Proven experience as an IT Professional that can maintain multi-location IT Systems.
- Proficiency in Python, HTML, CSS, and JS programming for automation, data processing, and system integration tasks in Odoo.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Business Flows. (Odoo Specific is a Plus, however, years of experience with SAP and NetSuite are equivalent).
- Hands-on experience working with version control systems like GitHub or SVN for collaborative project management.
- Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, Google Workspace environments, and application deployment processes.
- Understanding of the use of GitHub, SendGrid, and other 3rd Party Applications that are integrated with Odoo for functionality such as email, backup, security, etc.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel to other locations for support and maintenance.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with others.
