Job Opportunity: Sales Account Executive

WJBF NewsChannel6 is searching for an energetic and extremely motivated multi-marketing platform sales professional. The ideal Sales Account Executive candidate will possess strong presentation and communication skills, experience working with advertising agencies and clients directly, growing market share, and closing new business and digital. Ultimately, generating advertising revenue by establishing relationships with local and out-of-market businesses. Responsibilities: Drive linear (television) and digital advertising (programmatic, social media, and paid search) sales for WJBF-TV Establish linear and digital agency and direct client relationships in the Augusta market and surrounding territories. Develop strategic plans and initiatives, quarterly & annually, to drive revenue and market share across all station platforms Continually prospect, develop and maintain new, non-traditional linear (broadcast television) and digital revenue opportunities. Understand client needs and then collaborate with internal teams to build customized, coordinated solutions while fostering long-term customer relationships and maintaining customer satisfaction. Develop and present compelling sales pitches to clients, highlighting the value of our advertising offerings. Implements strategies to consistently grow revenue and exceed revenue goals. Negotiates advertising contracts and terms to meet both client objectives and company revenue goals. Collaborate and relationship-build across various internal departments including: sales, marketing, traffic, finance as well as external (3rd party) vendors to ensure campaign effectiveness and execution. Manage campaign execution and monitor performance, both traditional and non-traditional from pre-sell through post-recap. Track activity, performance, and pipeline within CRM systems Meet and exceed sales targets, contributing to the overall growth and success of the company. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising or Mass Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. Work effectively under the pressure of deadlines with meticulous attention to detail. Exhibit self-motivation and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrate strong creative, organizational, planning, and prospecting skills. Communicate effectively and courteously with co-workers and clients. Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.) Outstanding presentation skills. A minimum of one year of experience in broadcast television and digital platform sales. Willingness to learn and grow marketing knowledge Environmental and Physical Requirements: The role of Broadcast Sales Account Executive is an in-office position that requires a combination of office-based tasks and client-facing activities. In-office tasks typically involve sitting at a desk, working on a computer, making phone calls, and taking part in meetings. Client-facing activities include attending meetings, giving presentations, and participating in industry events. These occasions might involve traveling and spending a lot of time on your feet, but they offer great opportunities to connect and grow. The ability to navigate various office equipment and software systems is essential for efficient communication and sales tracking.
