Job Title

Help serve as point of contact on health benefit programs. Provide information about enrollment in Tricare. Provide medical claim appeal procedures/processes to beneficiaries. Review military personnel orders and letters of authorization for medical treatments. Contact beneficiaries to resolve inconsistencies with documents or incomplete data to support medical/dental claims. Assist beneficiaries to access care or other benefits under other medical programs. Conditions of employment include a suitability or fitness determination, a personnel security investigation, and the need to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Selectees will be required to sign a statement consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or provide a recognized exemption. Immunization screening is required, including Hepatitis B for all positions with direct patient contact. Qualifications are open to various categories including disabled veterans, current Defense Health Agency employees, and military spouses, among others. Experience or education in healthcare administration, healthcare management, or case management is required. Foreign education must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency. Additional information includes requirements for proof of U.S. citizenship, a one-year trial/probationary period, and direct deposit of pay. Recruitment or relocation incentives may be authorized for highly qualified candidates. Salary includes locality pay or local market supplement.
