CBIZ is seeking a strategic and results-driven Advisory Transformation Leader to join our internal transformation team to support our Advisory Practice which includes private equity advisory, financial accounting & advisory services, forensic consulting & litigation services, human capital management, risk & advisory services, and valuation services.
This role is critical in advancing our vision to build a scalable, technology-enabled organization that fosters innovation, ensures operational excellence, and drives sustainable growth and market leadership. As part of this mission, you will collaborate with Advisory leaders, Technology, and other key stakeholders to identify, define, and deliver innovative solutions to enhance audit quality and drive efficiency, scalability, and data-driven insights. candidate will have a strong balance of strategic vision and execution, with the ability to set expectations, manage relationships with third-party vendors, and lead a high-performing team. This role requires a deep understanding of the advisory/consulting industry, paired with a forward-looking innovative mindset. The role will serve as the bridge between technical execution and the firm’s digital future - embedding AI, automation, and analytics into the fabric of the audit process.
The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in public accounting or a multinational organization with a focus on advisory transformation and proven leadership in driving business change.
Essential Functions and Primary Duties- Roadmap Development: Collaborate with VP, Business Transformation and Advisory Leaders to develop a comprehensive roadmap, identifying, prioritizing, defining, and delivering innovative solutions that provide the greatest business impact for our firm.
- Strategy and Objectives : Partner with Advisory to define the Advisory Transformation strategy, set objectives and key results (OKRs), and establish key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization. Set and meet expectations with stakeholders on deliverables and drive communication to keep stakeholders well-informed on progress towards goals.
- Business Cases Development and ROI Measurement: Develop comprehensive business cases for proposed transformation initiatives with detailed cost and return on investment (ROI) analysis, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and demonstrating the value and impact.
- Data-Driven Insights & AI Enablement: Collaborate with our Business Intelligence & AI teams to implement advanced analytics, automation, and AI-driven solutions to empower Advisory teams with actionable insights that enhance strategic decision making.
- Process Standardization & Optimization: Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and standardize advisory processes leveraging offshore resources, automation, process reengineering, and advanced workflow technologies to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability, as well as reduce risk and improve audit quality.
- Team Management and Development : Build, manage, and develop a high-performing team. This includes hiring, mentoring, and upskilling team members to enhance their technical expertise and strategic thinking. You will empower the team by providing clear direction, performance expectations, and opportunities for professional growth.
- Project Management : Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring transformation initiatives are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
- Vendor Management : Identify, evaluate, and manage day-to-day relationships with external vendors and technology partners to ensure delivery of high-quality solutions and services.
Change Management : Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies and processes within the advisory practice.
Innovation Leadership : Champion innovation by continuously evaluating and advising on new technologies, staying updated with industry trends, and providing thought leadership to senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, computer science, or related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in public accounting, consulting or a multinational organization with a focus on advisory transformation, and proven leadership in driving business change.
Strong leadership and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders concurrently.
Strong communication and change management skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to think strategically while also driving tactical execution.
- Experience in leading, growing, and enhancing a transformation teams.
- CPA certification
- Less than 10% travel
- College Degree or equivalent required
- 10 years related experience
- Must have experience managing staff, projects and/or processes
- Possesses subject matter expertise
- Knowledge of industry regulations
- Ability to manage a team of others
- Ability to formulate new policies and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
- Ability to travel as required by business and on-call availability
