Overview
B.S. Degree (Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or Technical Discipline) or equivalent work experience. Minimum 3 years outside sales experience with a technical product line. Experience from industries such as Petrochem, Oil & Gas, Cryogenic / refrigerated baulk storage of gasses would be an advantage. Regional Sales Management experience in multi territory managing a Manufacturer’s Representative network preferred. Excellent presentation and communication skills are required along with the ability to build relationships at multiple business levels.
Job Description:
From PROTEGO USA you will be supporting PROTEGO regional technical sales teams and managing Manufacturer’s Representative companies in assigned territories with duties including but not restricted to Rep selection, termination, and training. You will conduct territory market research, analysis, project tracking and determine target accounts. There will be a mix of in territory travel and virtual customer visits at plant level, corporate offices and engineering companies providing technical presentations and consultation on product applications.
Responsibilities
The RSM will regularly travel into the assigned sales territories, the average amount of travel required will be 50-60% of working time.
The RSM will work directly with in territory regional managers to implement the required sales strategy which aligns with group goals and objectives.
In territories where direct PROTEGO regional managers are not in place, the RSM will work to build relationships directly with appointed manufacturers reps to ensure that PROTEGO group sales strategy and goals are implemented.
The RSM must become familiar with all relevant Safety and Design standards, including but not restricted to, API 2000, API 2521, NFPA 68, 69, 30 and 497, ISO28300, ISO16852 etc.
The RSM shall gain knowledge of the sales strategy for PROTEGO Venting & Flame Arrester Technology in assigned territories and markets.
The RSM shall design territory sales strategies in line with PROTEGO Global sales and marketing objectives.
The RSM will regularly report plans, territory objectives and opportunities to the Sales Manager and other team members.
The RSM shall learn how to hold PROTEGO Sales presentations and technical Seminars
The RSM shall study technical and strategic reports produced by PROTEGO.
The RSM will visit and support regional trade show events in relevant territories. The RSM will liaise between PROTEGO Global Marketing team and the territory teams to ensure that the trade show is advertised and attended effectively.
The RSM will work together with the Global PROTEGO Authorized Repair Center (PARC) sales team to identify PARC partner opportunities within territory.
