Inside Sales Job Description
The Inside Sales representative’s role is to prospect, qualify, and build relationships with new customers, including senior-level district administrators, as well as retain and extend those relationships with our existing client base. The Inside Sales Representative is also responsible for the development of sales and requires being well-versed in all products beyond basic features and benefits. The rep will work closely with customers to determine optimal solutions to meet the needs of the teachers, administrators, and most importantly the students.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Extensive knowledge of platform features and benefits along with other product lines
Set up meetings and deliver virtual presentations/demos of the platform and other sales actions with customers
Identify key accounts within a territory to begin the sales process
Cold-Call prospects from Agile Database and contact leads generated by ALI Marketing team
Penetrate all targeted accounts and grow existing customer base
Handle inbound leads and convert into sales
Overcome objections of prospective customers
Emphasize product/service features and benefits, pricing and generate quotes for customers
Use research, evaluation, and analytics of usage to create recommendations for customers
Collaborate with the manager and team members to determine the necessary sales approach based on territory
Meet weekly with your manager
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements

Content knowledge in K-12 STEM
Ability to organize and manage daily tasks
Decision-making skills among collaborative efforts with team members
Proficient in written and oral communication skills
Effective communicator with customers and senior management
Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
Must be successful at multi-tasking, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines
Ability to work as an individual and be a cooperative contributor in the team setting
Capable of working as a positive team member under any timeline
High level of integrity and work ethic
Computer Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite.
Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree
One Year Of Sales Experience Required, EdTech Sales Preferred
1-2 years of teaching experience preferred not required
Physical Demands Primarily must be able to work in front of a computer for prolonged periods of time. Other physical demands of the position include mobility throughout the day as needed to attend meetings and periodic conference presentations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required during evenings and weekend hours. Must be able to travel in and outside of Houston, TX for conferences, events, showcases, and trainings.
