Auburn Athletics seeks candidates for a
Graduate Assistantship
position to work in partnership with the Marketing & Revenue Generation team by completing daily office hours in order to plan and execute digital strategies for all of Auburn’s 19 athletics programs.
Essential Functions
Responsibilities
Execute and strategize digital marketing communications for various sports and other campaigns across email, web, and app
Build out weekly Auburn Tigers emails using Eloqua, our email marketing tool
Coordinate with the Director of Marketing & Revenue Generation on strategies to increase engagement and revenue via our athletics website and app
Upload and manage content including podcasts, videos, stories, images and more to AuburnTigers.com and the Auburn Tigers app
Record and measure data for all digital platforms including email, website/app, social media, etc.
Develop marketing plans for Olympic sports in partnership with our Fan Experience and Communications teams
Represent the unit by attending sport-specific pod meetings and present weekly initiatives to the sport staff
Help lead and execute AU VIP initiatives ranging from website maintenance to facility tours and gameday activations
As part of the AU VIP program, must be able to stand/walk for the full entirety of gamedays and carry out other physical activities
Demonstrate the visual acuity necessary to operate job-related technology and equipment and to evaluate work for accuracy and quality
Ensure all assigned tasks are carried out in compliance with department, university, SEC and NCAA rules and regulations
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in Public Relations, Business, Marketing, or another related field
Position includes graduate school tuition waiver and monthly stipend. To be on assistantship, a graduate student must:
Be in a degree-seeking program allowing tuition waiver (College of Education and MBA program not available)
Be registered for courses during each academic term of the assistantship
Satisfy the minimum load specifications of the individual departments and be making satisfactory progress toward the degree
Expectations
Position requires a two-year commitment. Applicants selected for the position must then apply for and be accepted into the Auburn University graduate school.
Acceptance into graduate school at Auburn University is required before candidate can officially be offered the position.
