
Specialty Consultants is recruiting on behalf of our client to fill a
Regional Property Manager
role overseeing a Michigan-based affordable housing portfolio.
This role manages properties across the Detroit and Kalamazoo markets, including Permanent Supportive Housing communities. The ideal candidate is an experienced affordable housing leader who is mission-driven, comfortable working with complex resident populations, and confident managing multi-site LIHTC portfolios.
Responsibilities
Oversee operational, financial, and compliance performance of a multi-site affordable housing portfolio
Provide hands-on leadership to on-site teams, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
Ensure compliance with LIHTC and other applicable housing programs
Lead budgeting, financial reviews, and variance management
Support property takeovers, lease-ups, and ongoing portfolio growth
Qualifications
Progressive property or portfolio management experience
LIHTC experience
Multi-site supervisory experience required
Strong understanding of affordable housing compliance and financials
Experience with Permanent Supportive Housing and/or high-needs resident populations preferred
Familiarity with MSHDA and Michigan housing programs is a plus
Ability to travel within Michigan (mostly day trips; mileage reimbursed)
