Overview
We are seeking a
Senior Regional Property Manager
to oversee close to 2000
units of an affordable housing portfolio
across New York City, consisting primarily of
LIHTC and Section 8
communities. This role provides strategic oversight of operations, financial performance, compliance, and capital improvement initiatives across multiple properties.
Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations for a multi-site LIHTC and Section 8 portfolio
Lead and develop Property Managers and on-site leadership teams
Ensure compliance with HUD, HPD, HDC, NYSHCR, and LIHTC regulations
Review monthly financial statements, variance reports, and operating metrics
Partner on annual budgets, reforecasts, and expense controls
Oversee capital improvement projects, renovations, and building system upgrades
Coordinate with asset management, construction, and vendors on project execution
Prepare for and respond to audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews
Serve as a key point of contact for ownership and internal stakeholders
Qualifications
7+ years of property management experience with regional-level oversight
Strong background in
LIHTC and Section 8
affordable housing
Solid financial acumen and experience reviewing operating statements
Experience overseeing capital projects and vendor management
Deep familiarity with NYC affordable housing regulations
Proficiency with Yardi, RealPage, or similar systems
