Overview
Schedule: Part Time, Saturday and Sunday 7a-3:30pm with one additional shift during the week.
Responsibilities
Operate telephone control board and paging system, dispatch incoming calls, and page internal/external and on-call clinical staff during and after regular business hours.
Coordinate the operation of various telecommunication systems within Thompson Health System, including telephone, voice mail, pager, cell phone/Nextel phones, and public address paging system.
Possess in-depth knowledge of the operations and procedures related to the health system switchboard, voice mail, paging, and cell phone/Nextel phone systems.
Function calmly under stressful situations related to calling a Code on the public address system.
Be flexible in decision-making and prioritizing assignments.
Work independently and within a group.
Actively guard the confidentiality of sensitive information, including but not limited to patients, associates, and the health system.
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred
Previous operator/switchboard and customer service experience
Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS products
Pay Range: $17.83 - $20.00
Starting Pay: Based on experience
