Overview Job Summary:

Responsible for multiple tasks in the Local Tax Compliance department, including but not limited to account management, collections, processing of documents for the purpose of local business tax collection, and taxpayer consultation.

Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Comprehension of City ordinances to determine tax liabilities within assigned jurisdictions.

General math computations

Call center monitoring, assistance with supervisor request transfers.

Taxpayer consultation within the LTC call center environment.

Processing of applications, statements and any other documents received.

Collections of outstanding balances.

Outbound calls for account information retrieval and follow up.

Maintenance of accounts and preparation of City payment batches.

General Office duties include but are not limited to filing, scanning of documents and other general functions.

Utilizing data to identify and notify non-compliant businesses.

Prepare company outbound correspondence via USPS and private courier.

Attention to detail; ability to compare and recognize discrepancies in data.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Associate degree preferred, or the equivalent amount of related experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Bi-Lingual helpful

A moderate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

A moderate degree of analysis, creativity, and critical thinking skills.

Demonstrate the principles of good customer service to all customers and colleagues.

Demonstrate compliance with all company policies and/or regulations.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as the employee works in an open-floor office environment, in an individual workstation, using a telephone and computer.

Employees are required to work evenings and weekends, as necessary.

Physical Demands

Must be able to remain seated for extended periods, work at the computer several hours a day, five days a week.

Regular use of a computer and other office machinery, such as printers and copy machines.

Occasional movement around the office.

Frequent communication via telephone.
