
Role Overview
We are seeking a
Senior Social Media Designer (6 Month Contract)
to support the creation of high-quality, motion-forward social content for a financial services brand. This role reports directly to the Creative Director and partners closely with social, marketing, and compliance teams to deliver engaging, platform-native creative across paid and organic channels.
This is a hands-on, individual contributor role ideal for a seasoned designer who can quickly ramp up, work independently, and produce polished multimedia assets within a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and produce motion-first social content, including short-form video, animation, reels, stories, and static assets
Edit and animate video using motion graphics, kinetic typography, and sound design
Translate complex financial concepts into clear, engaging, and compliant visual content
Collaborate with the Creative Director, social strategists, account directors, copywriters, and compliance partners
Apply brand guidelines, accessibility standards, and regulatory requirements consistently
Optimize creative based on platform specifications, performance insights, and evolving social trends
Manage multiple workstreams simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
Incorporate feedback efficiently while maintaining a high standard of craft and attention to detail
Qualifications
6+ years of experience in social media, motion, or multimedia design
Strong portfolio (required) demonstrating motion graphics, animation, video editing, and static social design
Advanced proficiency in After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator; familiarity with Figma preferred
Deep understanding of platform-native social content and short-form video storytelling
Experience working within brand systems and regulated or compliance-driven environments
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver under deadline
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Motion Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, Digital Media, Film/Video Production, or related field or equivalent professional experience
What Will Set You Apart
Experience in financial services, fintech, insurance, or similarly regulated industries
Denver-based candidates strongly preferred
Familiarity with paid social creative and performance optimization
Knowledge of accessibility standards (captioning, color contrast, WCAG guidelines)
Interviews for this role will be conducted on camera with Swipejobs and the client, and will be recorded for future reference.
