As Yoto continues to scale in North America, we’re looking for a seasoned senior communications professional to provide strategic and hands-on support to our in-market PR team during a pivotal business year. About Yoto: Yoto is a screen-free interactive audio platform for kids. We make carefully connected audio players that kids control, with no microphones, cameras or ads. We have a catalogue of audio that inspires creative play and learning with 1,000+ titles in our card store from top creators, publishers and labels — think Disney, Marvel, Roald Dahl and Universal Music. We also create Yoto Originals like BrainBots. We’re on a mission to be the soundtrack of childhood, and help families on their own unique adventures. By creating products that inspire independent play, we help families discover and grow with an inspiring world of audio - and we would like you to help us achieve it! What you’ll be doing
Providing senior strategic support & delivery guidance Act as a senior thought partner to the North America Growth team, supporting planning, prioritisation, and execution of key PR and communications work Support delivery of PR, storytelling, influencer and brand advocacy activity in line with global strategy and North American market needs Provide senior judgement and quality control on plans, messaging, and outputs Step in to own discrete workstreams where helpful, or support Senior PR Manager and PR Coordinator in planning and execution depending on priorities and capacity Coaching, feedback, and senior oversight to support the continued development of the in-market PR team Help create clarity around priorities, workflows, and expectations during a busy planning and delivery period Act as a trusted sounding board, particularly supporting a sustainable return to work following parental leave Support operational inputs including budget tracking, forecasting, reporting, business justifications and legal requests (in partnership with global comms) Help ensure reporting clearly shows what’s working and where adjustments are needed Bring structure and rigour to planning and delivery without adding unnecessary process Work closely with Global Communications, Global Brand, Product Marketing, Organic Social, Influencer Marketing and Paid Acquisition teams to ensure alignment Keep global stakeholders informed with clear updates, flag risks early, and propose practical solutions Share insights from the North American market and help maintain consistency with global messaging What you’ll bring
10+ years’ experience in communications, PR or brand roles Experience working with fast-growing consumer brands; consumer tech, family or children’s brands a strong plus Comfortable operating at a senior strategic level while also being hands-on when needed Experience handling sensitive topics relating to children, families, safety and responsible technology Strong storytelling skills, particularly for parent and carer audiences Solid understanding of communications measurement, reporting and operational planning including use of Meltwater and Aspire Experience working with budgets and external partners or agencies Collaborative, pragmatic, and confident working in a fractional or consulting capacity Contract value:
