Overview
The Senior Director, WW Marketing and Strategic Service, Transfusion is responsible for all aspects of strategy development, commercialization, execution, and lifecycle management explicitly for Werfen’s Transfusion Business Unit and specialty products portfolio. This role defines global market strategy, portfolio roadmaps, and strategic service, and partners with regions and functions to enable effective commercialization. This position will not oversee affiliate/downstream teams. This position will not oversee affiliate/downstream teams. This position will not be responsibility for tactical marketing activities. This position will not oversee marketing and strategic service for the Transfusion Business Unit. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer, Transfusion and is a key member of the Transfusion Leadership team. Responsibilities
Partner with COO and cross-functional leadership to shape and deliver the business line strategic plan, directing integrated teams across Transfusion and Specialty Products, Strategic Service, Clinical Marketing, Business Development, and Marketing Communications in collaboration with Regional VPs and affiliates Develop pricing strategy guidelines for the Transfusion products, recommend data-driven product enhancements and modifications based on insights from Sales, Strategic Service, and Marketing to strengthen market competitiveness and customer value Lead global market and competitive analysis to identify, prioritize, and activate growth opportunities partnering with regional affiliates to shape strategy, support execution, and track performance of marketing plans Oversee the development and delivery of integrated sales tools, collateral, and communications to ensure Commercial organization is equipped to drive adoption and revenue growth Provide strategic leadership for the Global Strategic Service organization, ensuring industry-leading support and consistent high-quality customer and partner experience worldwide Develop and maintain a high-performing team (~14-18) by providing training and development Lead upstream market strategy by defining customer needs, translate market insights and customer feedback into clear product requirements and business cases for R&D and Strategic Service. Supervise Transfusion Marketing and Strategic Service department budget Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Networking/Key Relationships Establish strong external relationships with key customers, key opinion leaders, industry consultants and other stakeholders who can impact positive goal • Coordinate communication with the Transfusion Business Unit Managers in the affiliates This position will network across all functional areas and levels within the organization as well as develop and maintain key relationships with the senior management team throughout Werfen leadership teams Qualifications
Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position: Bachelor’s or equivalent; MBA preferred Minimum of 7-10 years of management experience in strategic marketing, including portfolio management, product lifecycle leadership, and cross-functional commercial readiness Experience in a regulated industry such as medical devices, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology is strongly preferred Management has the discretion of substituting relevant work experience for a degree and/or making exceptions to the years of experience requirement.
