Our client, a top 100 U.S. law firm, is seeking an experienced
Events Manager
to lead the planning, coordination, and flawless execution of client-facing events that drive business development and marketing objectives. This role works closely with firm leadership, business development teams, and internal stakeholders to deliver engaging, brand-aligned experiences that strengthen client relationships and elevate the firm’s market presence. Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute a full range of
client-facing events , including
venue selection, budgeting, contract negotiation, catering, audiovisual
needs, invitations, registration, and branded materials. Manage relationships with venues, vendors, and consultants to ensure seamless execution and adherence to timelines. Partner with business development and internal teams to align events with strategic goals, including targeted invitations, logistics, and post-event follow-up to maximize ROI. Conduct venue research and manage Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Build and maintain vendor and venue partnerships, identifying opportunities to optimize value. Negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality delivery. Manage invitation and attendee data in CRM systems, ensuring accuracy and timely communication. Collaborate with design teams on event collateral and digital assets, including event apps. Establish and maintain event management best practices, including budget tracking, timelines, and post-event reporting. Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth execution. Minimum of
7+ years of event planning experience in a professional services environment
(legal experience preferred). Proven project management skills , with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives concurrently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
with strong attention to detail. Professionalism and confidence
when interacting with senior executives, partners, and high-profile clients. Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable event strategies. Extensive experience managing and maintaining event budgets. Strong knowledge of
venues, vendors, restaurants, and entertainment landscapes , with established relationships locally and nationally. Resourceful, proactive problem solver with a collaborative mindset and strong initiative. Comfortable using registration platforms, CRM tools, and managing rooming lists. Flexibility to travel occasionally for firm-wide client events and offsite retreats. Professional credentials (CMP, CSEP) are a plus. Qualifications
