Description
Manage the business and operational aspects of the Athletics Department.
Analyze business and operating procedures to devise the most effective methods of accomplishing work, such as organizational change, communications, information flow, inventory control, or cost analysis.
Gather and organize information related to problems and operating procedures, analyze data, consider available solutions or alternative plans, and make recommendations.
Prepare comparative analyses of operating programs by analyzing costs in relation to services performed during previous fiscal years, and submit required reports to the Athletic Director with recommendations for budget revisions.
Oversees the paying of coaches stipends.
Maintain record of individual schools coaching staff, assignments and stipends.
Oversee the paying of game officials and stadium personnel. Maintain records of all such expenditures.
Provide advice to athletic coordinators, principals and coaches regarding district and UIL policies.
Keep abreast of technical, legislative, and professional trends and developments related to athletic programs, and disseminate information to appropriate district personnel.
Assist in supervising the activities of direct reports of the Athletic Director in accordance with the district’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work.
Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned.
Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university required in Education, Organizational Leadership, Project Management, or related field: Master’s Degree from an accredited university preferred.
Valid Texas Teacher Certificate with required endorsements for subject and subject level assigned preferred.
5+ years of experience athletic department budgets, large scale equipment ordering.
2+ years of experience in supervisory preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in designing, monitoring, implementing, and evaluating
programs and projects.
Demonstrated exemplary strategic and operational planning skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyze facts and exercise sound judgment in arriving at conclusions.
Demonstrated financial planning skills.
Demonstrated computer skills and knowledge, specifically with Oracle and Google.
Demonstrated strong organizational, communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills required to achieve
