Sales and Business Development Support Aerospace & Defense
We are seeking an experienced
Aerospace & Defense Sales Manager
to drive growth across defense contractors, aerospace OEMs, and Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers. This role owns strategic customer relationships, manages complex programs, and converts technical capabilities into long-term revenue.
You will work closely with engineering, operations, and program management to support
high-reliability, regulated products
with long sales cycles and rigorous qualification requirements
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute sales strategies for
Aerospace & Defense accounts
Manage and grow
strategic customer relationships
(OEMs, primes, Tier suppliers)
Identify and pursue
new programs, RFQs, and long-term agreements
Lead opportunity development from
discovery through contract award
Collaborate with engineering on
technical proposals and pricing
Own account plans, customer roadmaps, and annual revenue targets
Forecast pipeline accurately and support S&OP and capacity planning
Navigate compliance requirements (ITAR, DFARS, quality standards)
Represent the company at
customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events
Required Qualifications
5+ years of B2B sales experience in
Aerospace & Defense manufacturing
Proven success selling
engineered or custom products
Strong understanding of:
RFQ/RFP processes
Long sales cycles
Program-based revenue
Experience working with:
Aerospace OEMs or Defense primes
Ability to read and communicate technical requirements
Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Hybrid role
Preferred Qualifications
Background in
composites, machined components, structures, or assemblies
Experience with
AS9100, Nadcap, ITAR-controlled environments
EOS / structured sales process experience
Engineering or technical education a plus
