Senior Sales Manager - Washington Hilton (HOT0C9A2) Work Locations: Washington Hilton, 1919 Connecticut Ave, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20009 The Washington Hilton is looking for a dynamic Senior Sales Manager to join their team. The property features 118,000 square feet of event space, including a 30,000-square-foot International Ballroom, and 1,107 guestrooms with four on-site dining outlets. This role is an in-office position; a hybrid or remote arrangement may be considered for an exceptionally high-performing candidate, but this is not guaranteed. Responsibilities
Research, solicit and generate new leads for group opportunities through database research and proactive sales efforts, maximizing new room revenue streams to meet and exceed lead-generation goals. Represent the hotel in the development of market segments and new customer relationships while maintaining existing relations with assigned accounts; strive to maximize revenue and profitability for all hotel revenue streams. Develop a business strategy by analyzing historical, current and future hotel and market trends, implementing marketing initiatives to capture the maximum lead revenue to meet and exceed sales goals. Apply strong sales, communication, and networking skills to understand customer needs and qualify, negotiate and secure new revenue for the hotel. Customer and Account Management: create customer value, differentiate Hilton from the competition, and retain and grow customer relationships. Prospecting: identify potential customers, develop and execute call strategies, and engage in outside sales to uncover needs and win new business. Negotiations: understand customer and business leader expectations; adapt to a changing market; negotiate contracts and commission agreements with end-user customers and intermediaries; coordinate with Hilton Worldwide Sales and Hilton Legal as needed. Manage outside activities such as industry tradeshows and customer events; develop and execute monthly, quarterly and annual business plans; maintain a robust pipeline aligned with short- and long-term objectives. Coordinate customer specifications (rooms, food and beverage, meeting space) via the lead management system and maintain relevant account and booking information in the designated system. Conduct site inspections through storytelling to align with customer needs. Collaborate with the sales team and external partners (Convention Bureau, Intermediaries) to retain existing customers and secure new business. Qualifications
At least three years of experience in a senior-level hotel sales role in a full-service convention hotel environment. Ability to analyze business opportunities, build and maintain senior-level client relationships, secure group business, and navigate contracts with confidence. Strong judgment and the ability to contribute to decisions impacting group business strategy; clear and confident client communication. In-office work preference, with potential for rare hybrid/remote arrangement for exceptional performers. Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range: $95,000.00–$110,000.00 annually; salary aligned with experience and qualifications. Eligible for Hilton Sales Incentive plan, paid quarterly based on performance.
